CEC is partnering with Salvation Army to provide Christmas stockings for Center of Hope residents. The Tuscaloosa Center of Hope provides shelter, nutritious meals, counseling, job placement assistance, education opportunities, health and substance abuse referrals and vocational rehabilitation for men, women and families. We are excited for the opportunity to surprise local families staying at the center with gifts on Christmas morning.
Our goal is to provide stocking for 42 men, 20 women and 10 children ages 3-12. We would like each bag to contain items that are needed and at least one fun gift. Participation is easy! Grab a gallon size zip lock bag from the church and fill with the items below.
Suggested stocking items include: socks, candy, shampoo, deodorant, toothbrush/paste, dental floss, chapstick, beef jerky, travel size tissues, small dominos or cards, soft granola bars, combs, gloves, hats, pretty small notebook/journal, fingernail polish for women, small toys for children.
Bags should be returned to the church no later than December 9.
