Fifteen Year Anniversary of 9/11- Weekend of Mission at Christ Church

In memory of all those that tragically lost their lives 15 years ago on 9/11, we are joining with the American Red Cross to do a “weekend of mission”. On Friday, Sept. 9th we will host a blood drive in Randall Hall from 10:00 to 3:00. Please come and give the “gift of life” (and we can always use some homemade cookies and volunteers to serve.) On Saturday morning, Sept. 10th receive the “gift of learning” as we offer a training class in Randall Hall taught by the Red Cross to prepare us to serve the community after a natural disaster. On Sunday, Sept. 11th Christ Church teams will give the “gift of service” as they go out into the community with local firemen to install smoke alarms in at risk homes and provide safety plans and fire prevention education. Also, on 9/11 we will put together “Comfort Care Kits” for children that have been displaced due to a home fire. These kits will be distributed through the Red Cross. We will conclude the weekend with a Communion service and Parish Potluck dinner. All are welcome!
